1L6 List

As I am sure that you already know, these tubes are now very scarce.  If you are willing to make a small modification to your radio, or make a simple adaptor, you can use type 1U6 (still rare, but gives you another option). This tube is identical to the 1L6 except for it's heater current rating. In order to use the 1U6 in place of a 1L6, you must simply place a 56 ohm (1/2 watt or 1 watt) resistor across filament pins 1 and 7 on the tube socket.
